About Steam Account Worth

Steam Account Worth is a free Steam account value calculator and a small set of tools for players who want to know what their Steam account is worth: what their games cost in the Steam store today, how much they have played, and how special the account is. You never log in or share account details. The calculator only reads what Steam already shows publicly on a profile.

Where the data comes from

  • Profiles, game libraries, playtime, levels, badges, friend counts and ban status come from the official Steam Web API. It only returns this for profiles whose owners have made it public.
  • Game prices come from the Steam store, for the United States (USD), Germany (EUR) and the United Kingdom (GBP). They are prices for that region, not currency conversions. Saved prices are refreshed every 24 hours; we currently know 2 games.

The only Steam image we show is the profile avatar of the account you look up, loaded from Steam’s own servers. The logo, colours and icons on this site are our own design. Powered by Steam.

How values are calculated

Library value

Every game in the library is looked up in the Steam store in your chosen currency:

  • Current value adds up today’s price of each game, with any discount running right now.
  • Full price adds up the normal price without discounts.
  • Free-to-play games count as zero.
  • Games not sold anymore (delisted, or not sold in that region) have no store price, so they add nothing to the value but add to the account score.

DLC, Steam Wallet money and inventory items are not part of a public library. You can add them by hand on the checker or in the manual calculator.

Account score (0–100)

  • Account age: up to 25, 1.5 points per year since the account was created (or the Years of Service badge when the creation date is hidden).
  • Library size: up to 25, on a log scale: 25 × log(games + 1) ÷ log(1,001), so 1,000 games or more gets the full 25.
  • Steam level: up to 15, 15 × log(level + 1) ÷ log(201).
  • Games no longer sold: up to 15, 1.5 points each.
  • Hours played: up to 10, 10 × log10(hours + 1) ÷ 4, so 10,000 hours gets the full 10.
  • Badges: up to 10, one point per 10 badges.
  • VAC or game bans: −15.

Labels: 85+ Legendary, 70+ Elite, 50+ Veteran, 30+ Solid, 12+ Casual, below 12 New.

Look-ups and privacy

When you check a profile, our server asks Steam for that account’s public data and keeps the answer for up to 30 minutes so repeated checks are fast, then deletes it within a day. Game prices are stored per game, not per person. We don’t build pages or profiles for the accounts people check, and results are never indexed by search engines. To protect our access to Steam, each visitor can run a limited number of new look-ups per hour. Details are in the privacy policy.

What we don’t do

We don’t estimate resale prices, and we don’t buy, sell or broker accounts or items. The Steam Subscriber Agreement doesn’t allow selling or transferring accounts. We will never ask for your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or API key, and we never ask you to sign in with Steam.
