Two ways to work out your Steam account worth
- Automatic: paste your profile link into the Steam account value calculator. It prices every game in your library from the Steam store, in dollars, euros or pounds. Your game details need to be public.
- By hand: use this calculator. Count your games by price range, add DLC, your wallet balance and items, and fill in your account age and level. It works for private profiles, and nothing you type leaves your browser unless you press Share result.
Both use the same account score, so the results match.
How to count your games by price
In the Steam app, open Library and look at the number next to Games, or open your profile, where the number of games is shown on the right. To split them by price, sort your library or check your licenses page, which lists everything you own. Rough counts are fine: the averages below do the rest.
| Price range | Typical games | Average used (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Under $5 | Small indies, very old games, bundles | $3 |
| $5 to $15 | Most indie games | $10 |
| $15 to $30 | Popular indies, older AAA games | $20 |
| $30 to $50 | AA games, games a few years old | $40 |
| $50 to $70+ | New AAA releases | $65 |
Euro and pound averages follow Steam’s regional prices: big releases cost €70 or £58 rather than $65.
What counts towards the value
- Games at their full store price. On sale, the same library usually costs 40 to 60% less.
- DLC, which Steam doesn’t show publicly, at what it would cost today.
- Steam Wallet balance, which is real money you can spend.
- Inventory items such as CS2 skins and trading cards, at Steam Community Market prices. Check your inventory value on the market before adding it.
Free-to-play games count as zero. Games that are no longer sold have no price, but they make the account rarer, so they add to the score instead.
The account score
- Account age, up to 25: 1.5 points per year, so 17 years gets the full 25.
- Library size, up to 25: on a log scale: 10 games ≈ 9, 100 games ≈ 17, 1,000 games = 25.
- Steam level, up to 15: level 10 ≈ 7, level 50 ≈ 11, level 200 = 15.
- Games no longer sold, up to 15: 1.5 points each.
- Hours played, up to 10: 100 hours = 5, 1,000 hours = 7.5, 10,000 hours = 10.
- Badges, up to 10: one point per 10 badges.
- VAC or game ban: minus 15.
85 and up is Legendary, 70 Elite, 50 Veteran, 30 Solid and 12 Casual.
Stay safe
No real value calculator needs your Steam password, Steam Guard codes or your Web API key. Sites that ask you to “log in with Steam” to value or buy your account, or send you a link to a fake Steam login page, are trying to steal it. Valve also doesn’t allow selling accounts, so treat the value as a number to be proud of, not a price tag.
